Smoked Gouda Mac and cheese - this was pretty good but also pretty smoky, so if you’re not into that then you won’t be into this. It also did not have much lobster flavor so it tasted like it was probably from frozen The butter was pooling up at the sides and the lobster seemed to just be on top instead of incorporated in there. Oysters with apple mignonette - these were just okay. Looking back, we should have ordered some veggies instead and maybe just one-two carbs. We might have also made a mistake in ordering so many carbs because we were so stuffed after. None of the sides really stood out to me. We also ordered some sides (and oysters) to share amongst the table. Even so, it was still good but a bit salty. He had the cowboy steak, which was cooked more to a medium than the medium rare he ordered. At first, I thought it was a regularly sized piece of steak but it was actually folded in half because it didn’t fit on the plate! I struggled to finish but I managed with some help from my husband. I had the skirt steak and ordered a side of chimichurri sauce, which complemented it perfectly. It’s pretty dark and loud (since voices carry in a cave), but it was still an awesome experience.
